Holy Week is the week which precedes the great Feast of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday: it includes the last days of Lent and the beginning of the Easter Triduum. During Holy Week, the Church celebrates the mysteries of salvation accomplished by Christ in the last days of his life on earth, beginning with his messianic entrance into Jerusalem.

PALM SUNDAY
As he rode along, people kept spreading their cloaks on the road. And when he approached the downward path of the Mount of Olives, the entire multitude of his disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen him perform, (Luke 19:36)

The Chrism Mass is a celebration of the entire Christian community:
"When the hour came, Jesus took his place at table along with the apostles. He said to them, “I have eagerly desired toeat this Passover with you before I suffer."

Then the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four shares, one share for each soldier. They also took his tunic, which was woven seamless, top to bottom.
