Why we don't treat human beings with the same compassion as animals when they are suffering and dying?
In a society where we place high value on freedom and individual choice, why don’t we allow people to choose the time and manner of their death?"
Euthanasia is the deliberate killing of someone by action or omission, with or without that person’s consent, for what are claimed to be compassionate reasons. Assisted Suicide is counselling, abetting, or an act of aiding someone to kill himself or herself. Whether euthanasia or assisted suicide both should be treated as murder / homicide, irrespective of whether the person killed has consented to be killed.
Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide have become a scourge on our society. All lives matter and it is crucial that Catholics make their voice heard on this important issue.
Unfortunately, it will probably not be long before the Liberal government reintroduces legislation to extend the circumstances for allowing Assisted Suicide. Please educate yourself and take action.
